INTRODUCTION - BASIC PRINCIPLES OF THE BIBLE

is important and necessary that all human beings who have accepted that there is a God and that the Bible is His revelation to man, his basic message seriously apply to discover.

Many of those who call themselves Christians seem to do this in poor shape:

verses of the New Testament on Sundays, a Bible that never opened home, a vague memory of a few biblical stories.

No wonder the shrug and so carefree attitude toward the powerful word of God 's truth, there is so much confusion and uncertainty in the lives and minds of so many people.

On the other hand, are those of little Christian preparation decide to try to understand the message of the Bible, but find that everyone who approach try to offer a set of doctrines and human philosophies which do not fundamentally reflect the words of the Bible.

The purpose of Basic Principles Bible is to analyze the message of the Bible in an orderly and systematic way.

It is designed to be read from beginning to end like a book, or alternatively to be used as a correspondence course.

The answers to the questions that go to the end of each study must be completed at the end of each topic.

We recognize that some readers will appear reluctant to the idea of answering questions; Instead they prefer to ask questions about areas where you have doubts or disagree with the interpretation given here.

STUDY GROUP 1

GOD

1.1 THE EXISTENCE OF GOD

"He who comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him" ( Heb . 11: 6 ).

The purpose of these studies is to help those who wish to come to God and who have previously believed "there"; therefore, we will not deal with the evidence that confirms faith in God's existence.

An examination of the intricate structure of our bodies (cf. Ps . 139: 14), The evident design in a flower, or contemplation of the vastness of space on a clear night: these and countless other careful reflections on life make atheism is hard to accept.

Believe that there is no God requires undoubtedly more faith than believed. Without God there is no order, purpose or ultimate explanation in the universe, and therefore this is reflected in the life of the atheist.

With this in mind, it is not surprising that most humans admit some degree of belief in one God, even in societies where materialism is the "god" predominant in the lives of people.

But there is a huge difference between having a vague notion that there is a higher power, and be really sure of what he offers in return for giving faithful service. Hebrews 11: 6 highlights that: we must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

Much of the Bible is an account of the history of Israel, the people of God; and again it stresses that their acceptance of God's existence was not at the same level as their faith in his promises.

They were told by their great leader Moses "know therefore ... and consider it in your heart that the Lord is God in heaven above and on earth beneath, and there is no other. And keep His statutes and His commandments "( Deut . 4: 39-40 ).

Thus, the same stands out: a perception within us that there is a God does not mean that we are automatically acceptable to God.

If we seriously agree that we really have a Creator, we must "keep his commandments".

The purpose of this series of studies to explain what these commandments and how to keep them As we search the Scriptures to do this, we will find that our faith in God's existence is strengthened.

"Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" ( Rom. 10:17 ).

Also, Isaiah 43: 9-12 shows how an understanding of God's prophecies about the future makes us know that "I myself am" ( Isaiah 43:13. ), Ie, that the name of God, "I am the I am 'is perfectly true ( Ex. 3:14 ).

The apostle Paul came to a town called Berea, in what is now northern Greece. As usual, he preached the ( "good news") gospel of God; but rather that people would just accept the word of Paul as collateral, "they received the word [of God, not Paul] with all readiness , and searched the scriptures daily , whether those things were so. So many of them believed "( Acts 17: 11-12 . ).

Their belief was due to their unprejudiced mind to the usual study ( "daily") and systematic ( "those things") of the Bible.

Therefore, the achievement of true faith was not because God has suddenly made through the obtain some kind of spiritual heart surgery, unrelated to God's word.

So how can people of the world participating in a Billy Graham crusade or some pentecostal assembly of spiritual revival, they leave them as "believers"? How much daily study of Scripture has been done in these cases?

This lack of a truly Bible - based faith, no doubt explains the emptiness they feel after many of these "converts" in their Christian experience, and why so many turn away from the evangelical movement. The purpose of this course of study is to provide a basic framework for your own systematic study of Scripture, so that you. Also you can believe.

Often it highlighted in the story of the preaching of the gospel the relationship between hearing the true Gospel and having a true faith:

- "Many of the Corinthians hearing, believed and were baptized" ( Acts 18: 8. ).

- "God chose that the Gentiles might hear ... the word of the evangelioy believed" ( Acts 15: 7 . )

- "So we preach and so you believed" ( 1 Cor 15:11 ).

- The "seed" in the parable of the sower, "is the word of God" ( Lk . 8:11 ); while the mustard is faith ( Lk 17: 6 . ). Consequently, faith comes from accepting "the word of faith" ( Rom . 10: 8 ), "words of faith and of good doctrine" ( 1 Timothy 4: 6 . ), In a heart that is open to belief in God and his word ( Galatians 2: 2 , cf.He. 4: 2 ).

- The apostle John says about writing the story of our Lord's life that " he saith true, that ye also may believe" ( Jn 19:35. ). That is why God's word is called "truth" ( Jn. 17:17 ), so that we create.
